Embodied Memories, Decolonization and Resistance

The decolonization of our bodies begins with the urgent need to reinterpret our reality. Critical thinking guides this search through new experiences of learning and collective connection.

This artistic intervention proposes a sensory journey guided by migrant and ancestral memory from Abya Yala –the self-designation for the territory now known as the American continent–, from where we weave an inner dialogue with other latitudes, in this case Europe. A dialogue that questions the borders imposed by time, space, and ideology, and that is built collectively with the participating community.

To reflect on – and taste – memory, migration and resistance actively opens up new ways of approaching European realities, marked by disruptions, polarities, and its colonial past and present. This encounter invites a conversation between tables and cultures, where knowledge and flavors intertwine in a living, transformative experience open to everyone.
